The Wine Doctor – Bordeaux 2014: Sauternes & Barsac
17 April 2015
Château Coutet 2014: A very elegant suggestion of pure yellow orchard fruits on the nose, quite pithy in style, laced with a little vanilla. The palate is textured, with creamed orchard fruits, white peach and pear flesh, polished and dripping with sweetness, with vibrant acidity to balance the very pure, textured body of the wine. This feels composed, harmonious, yet also energetic and vibrant. An exciting wine in the context of this vintage. Very long. Impressive. 18-19/20
